📕 Going To Walt Disney World: A Guide For Kids and Kids at Heart is the first Going To Guide that’s about more than one Disney theme park. In fact, it’s about ALL FOUR theme parks in Walt Disney World with a chapter about how the resort came to be, a chapter about how to visit, and chapters for each of the parks. To keep the page count (and cost) down so the book is easy to carry in the parks, some changes were made from the usual format.

There are still TONS of ways for readers to personalize their books including notes to fill in, games and quizzes, activities, places to draw and a built-in Trip Planner and Trip Journal where autographs can be collected! 👏
📍CHANGES TO MAPS!
In previous books, each land had its own simple map. But with the FREE paper guide maps handed out by Disney AND the map on the WDW app, I knew that taking some maps out of the book was a great way to save some space. There are still simple maps of each park (see below) to give readers the lay of the land (pun intended!) at the start of each chapter.

There are a few areas that have handy “Mini Maps” like this one for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge:
🍴FOOD AND DRINK CHANGES!
Rather than a land’s restaurants covered at the end of that chapter, now a blurb about an eatery is near what it’s near geographically in the park. Handy!
You can still see Food and Drink spots all listed together in the “At a Glance” charts at the start of each park chapter.
🌈 COLOR CODING!
Going To Guides always have color coding—but now there’s even more. The SIDE color strip is the PARK color, the TOP color strip is the LAND color. This makes it easy to flip to what you’re looking for. PLUS there’s an expanded THREE page Index in back to help you find where you want to go.
🔨 IMAGINEERS AT PLAY!
Lots of changes are coming to Walt Disney World – like a the whole land of Dinoland USA in Disney’s Animal Kingdom changing to a new theme. This book has more “Imagineers at Play” sidebars than any other. This is a fun way to see what’s there now – or was recently – and what’s to come. And there’s always a spot for readers to write down how they feel about the changes.
